Raje Vikramsinh Ghatge Co-operative Bank Ltd. Kagal is the leading institution in the banking sector in Western Maharashtra based on cooperative principle and trusted by the customers.

This organization was established on July 21, 1917 to meet the financial needs of the poor, in commemoration of the birthday of the Kagal city ruler Shrimant Jaisingrao Pirajirao Ghatge Alias Bal Maharaj in the city of Kagal, which was restored by Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj. On July 21, 1917, after filing an application for registration of the organization with the signatures of 19 promoters such as leading farmers and traders of sixty villages, 'Kagal Sahakari Patpedhi and Ltd.' came into force.

Hon. Late Shri. Vikramsinh Jaysingrao Ghatge, who is known as Hindkesari in the cooperative movement in Western Maharashtra is our inspiration. In his memory public opinion demanded that the name of Late Raje Vikramsinh Ghatge should be given to the bank. Respecting them, the name of the bank was renamed as 'Raje Vikramsinh Ghatge Co-op Bank Ltd. Kagal'.

The organization has started its centenary journey. The success of 105 years of giving 'meaning' to the lives of the common people is attributed to Kagladhipati Shrimant Sir Pirajirao Bapusaheb Maharaj, Shrimant Jaisingrao Alias Bal Maharaj, Shrimant Vikramsinh Ghatge and the father of cooperative movement in Kolhapur district Bhaskar Rao Jadhav. Moreover, due to the cooperation and trust of the bank's depositors, borrowers, gold collateral borrowers, wise members, directors, well-wishers, officers and employees, the bank has achieved 105 years of success.

Bank has taken initiative in social work along with financial work of encouraging new entrepreneurs, empowering women financially, making self-reliant of the weaker sections of the society through various schemes. A few years ago, the bank has fulfilled the needs of the people by mortgage of utensils. The bank has won the trust of all the customers due to its transparent and accurate administration. Therefore, compared to private and national banks, in terms of customer service and in the competition of cooperative banks, today our bank is better.
